The gîte is heated
by a gas-fired central heating system with a thermostatic
control located in the entrance corridor.

This
thermostat will give you 2 readings :
-
top : requested temperature
-
bottom : actual temperature of the room
To increase
the set temperature, press down on the top front of the
thermostat in small, repeated strokes (the top number will
increase). Conversely, pressing downwards will lower the
required temperature (the top number will therefore change
downwards).

This type of
thermostat is connected: it can be controlled by a remote device
such as the Google Nest screens in almost every room.
To turn up
the heating, say one of the following commands clearly :
" OK Google, augmente le chauffage a 19°"
or
"OK Google, augmente le chauffage de 2°"
To turn down
the heat, simply say :
" OK Google, baisse le chauffage a 17°"
or
"OK Google, baisse le chauffage de 2°"

To fine-tune
the temperature in each room, you can simply turn the
thermostatic valves on the radiators clockwise to lower the
temperature, anti-clockwise to raise it.
