Smoke detectors

To prevent any risk of fire or smoke poisoning, a smoke detector has been installed on each floor of the house. The correct operation of each device is systematically checked before each arrival.

If the smoke detector goes off and a fire or smoke is detected :

- Alert children and elderly people.

- Do not open any interior door.

- Stay close to the floor.

- Cover your mouth-nose with a cloth.

- Check everyone has left the house.

- Use a fire-extinguisher if possible.

   or

- Go outside if teh fire is too important.

- Call the fire brigade.

- Do not enter the house again.

If the detector goes off and it's a false alarm (as confirmed after full check) :

Use the Hush mute control (located on the front of the appliance), which deactivates smoke detection for approximately 9 minutes. Use this function only in the event of a definite and verified false alarm (i.e. cooking smoke, etc.)

Fire blanket...

The fire blanket is part of the fire protection equipment. It is designed to smother a fire by depriving it of oxygen before it spreads, or to extinguish fire on a person. It is also located in the kitchen, immediately upon entering on the left.

In the event of a small fire or a fire on a person, use the fire blanket as follows :

- Pull on the 2 straps to release it.

- Unfold the blanket.

- Hold the unfold blanket by the top.

- Wrap your hands around it.

- Stand behind the blanket.

- Raise the blanket.

- Approach the flames slowly.

- Place the blanket on the fire.

- Cover the flames completely.

- Leave the blanket in place.

Fire extinguisher...

In the event of a fire, a fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen, as you enter on the left. A maintenance visit is carried out annually by a qualified professional in accordance with standard NF S 61-919.

In the event of a fire, proceed as follows :

- Remove the spin.

- Strike the extinguisher by the handle.

- Do a side test.

- Stand 2 m from the fire.

- Stand sideways to the fire.

- Aim for the base of the flames.
